Progressive Preservation Talks Schools Edition with Glenda Winders: Smith Elementary School
This Progressive Preservation Talk with Glenda Winders will feature information about the historic Smith Elementary School , which was designed by John M. Johansen and completed in 1969. His son, Christen Johansen, designed the expansion and renovation in 1997. In a public discussion, Winders , a Columbus-based writer, will share her work researching the school and archives.
The event is produced in partnership with the Columbus Area Visitors Center and will take place at the CAVC's Gallery 506 (506 5th Street). The evening will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m. with light refreshments from Bespoke Events + Experiences . The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will include time for feedback from those in attendance.
